Appreciation from our Guests
CUSTOMER COMMENTS
We’re proud to share the appreciation of our customers. We work diligently to assure a safe and enjoyable experience – great food, exceptional service, and an unrelenting commitment to excellence, particularly during these challenging times. In complying with safety protocols, tables are distanced, seating per table is limited, and party size may be reduced.
“I could see the beach and ocean from where we were sitting. The wait staff was amazing. We ate until full. Relaxed and had some laughs with our drinks, and after the food settled we walked toward the beach as the sun set. I couldn’t have picked a better place. Highly recommend you check them out and decide for yourself. The entire staff are true professionals. Sidebar: Hand sanitizer stations everywhere, perfect social distancing, staff masked at all times, guests must wear masks when not seated, we felt safe.” - Anonymous, June 2020
“We had our wedding here and I cannot say enough good things about the entire experience. The venue was great and looked amazing, the staff were excellent and there was just so much food! Everyone had a great time, I am so thrilled that we chose Anthony’s as our venue and I highly recommend!” - Michelle B., October 2020
“Last night for dinner, we had a fantastic experience! Beautiful sunset views (really anywhere you sit), great entertainment, and the staff is top notch – all super friendly and attentive. I ordered penne a la vodka and it was the best I’ve ever had. 10/10 recommend.” - Kristen F., October 2020
“Everyone loved the food, there was so much variety, it was almost impossible to not find something you liked. The best was the take home food provided to bride and groom at the end of the night.” - Debbie-Ann E. September, 2019
“The entire staff of Anthony’s put on an amazing kid and adult friendly brunch that made you feel as though you were the only one in the room. The entire venue echoed Christmas spirit and made you feel like you were sitting in the North Pole. Everything was extremely well thought out and planned for ensuring no lines or contact with anyone besides your party. I would highly recommend the brunch and atmosphere. The food was delicious as always and served right to your table family style. The kids got to spend time with Santa from a safe distance while one of his “elves” thoroughly cleaned and disinfected as the children exited his wonderland. Amazing job Anthony’s Ocean View” Nicole F, Dec 2020

“I’m super impressed by the level of Covid-19 awareness here.”
New Haven Fire Investigator Douglas Wardlaw, in the New Haven Independent, August 2020
From the earliest days of the pandemic in the spring of 2020, Anthony’s Ocean View has been determined to adhere to State protocols and guidelines, and has worked diligently to ensure that customers continue to receive the quality experience they’ve been accustomed to for generations, while not compromising on safety.
During the summer, New Haven city officials came by – in the midst of two weddings – to take a look. Safety precautions were nearly everywhere.
As the New Haven Independent, which accompanied the officials that day, reported: “Nice signage,” [Fire Investigator Douglas Wardlaw] commented about the arrows pointing the way from the seating area to the bathrooms indoors. “And beautiful flowers.” When he got to the dining area, he found a large dispenser of hand sanitizer. He took a squirt, and then peered around the edge of a wall to see what the dining layout looked like.
Tables were placed six feet apart. No more than 10 people at a time. Almost everyone was wearing a mask. And there were only around 50 people in total. “I’m super impressed by the level of Covid-19 awareness here,” Wardlaw told one of the restaurant’s managers who had come out to ask him if he needed any help.
Officials also “praised the precautions they saw in place in the outdoor dining area. The tables were well distanced, Plexiglas barriers separated the employees and food serving stations from diners, and posted signage and arrow markings clearly described one-way walking routes and the importance of wearing masks,” the Independent reported.
